Fantastic store, great atmosphere and aesthetics, outstanding products, and above and beyond staffing. Their barista Daniel is very welcoming, knowledgable, and willing to coffee talk. Really appreciated that. He had great technique, has wonderful milk texture in his capps, and though I am not a huge fan of Sightglass espresso (a little to heavy and bland) he did a great job and somehow made it taste better. Like many other shops who outsource their beans from professional roasters, they have somehow outdone the original when producing the final product; I would take a cap from Dan over Sightglass any day. The owner Janice is very sweet and happy to talk business with me and my friend. Their food was also outstanding. Everyone there really seems to love their work, a pretty essential point that many shops seem to miss.

This place really has become a spot for me in Cupertino. I love how well the shop is designed, their attention to detail, and their evident professionalism, all the while emphasizing good customer service and a welcoming attitude. I think they really cover the bases of quality and atmosphere well for a third wave shop. It is modern and new, but they would never be arrogant enough to say “we are the best.” They use high grade equipment, train with top knotch techniques, use quality ingredients and beans, and bring together a great experience for their customers.

I like:

  • The staff
  • The Red Velvet Latte (I am always reticent to try shop creations, but this one was a pleasant surprise)
  • Shop decor
  • Their attitude
